A corollary of the applied research done in preschool education, this short book written by pedagogues -one of whom is also a librarian, seeks to provide clear, simple and easily applicable instructions on how to organise a library to be used by children aged 1 to 6, in other words children who do not yet know how to read. It offers ideas about using books and activities on this topic. The library need not be a lending one. It may simply be a school library. However, it may feature a lending system and manage to involve parents and children, filling them with a love of books and removing the sense of mystery that the operation of a library holds for many. This book is aimed a teachers of children of preschool age and primary school teachers and any librarian or body who/which wants to set up and open such a library.
