This book presents action research which seeks to explore procedures that will open education as an institution up to the social milieu. It describes actions which bring children into contact with their surroundings and at the same time make them social partners in the life of the school, so that education does not remain a closed system but is an integral part of society as a whole. Before these actions are presented, information is provided about the action research methodology and in particularly how it was planned, implemented and evaluated.
