The purpose of this research was to internally assess the first 10 years of implementing the in-service training program Synergy. The data arose from the views of trained pedagogues and educators – mediators who participated in the program from 1993 to 2003 which related to: a) establishing and mobilizing the pedagogical team, b) renewing pedagogical practices, c) personal professional development for trainees and instructors – mediators, d) active involvement of administrative services. The results of the study confirmed the success of the program and have been published in the book by Papaprokopiou, N. and Papadakou, E. (2004) 10 Years of Synergy. Athens: EADAP.
